Matt and I are those somewhat obnoxious people that pride ourselves on living “Green”. When we were in the house we switched out all the light bulbs for energy saving ones, we (he) turned out the lights when we were not using a room, as we ran out of cleaning product we purchased enviro friendly ones. We went green! As we moved into our new home we wanted to take our green habits and products with us. So here are some of the ways that we found to be green in our new home. 1. We have started (and will continue slowly since they are pricy) replace all of the light bulbs with the low energy ones too. Beneficial also because they (obv) use less energy. This is something that we are very aware of now. 2. We still use all of our green cleaning products. We use Method’s multi purpose cleaner to wipe down the kitchen counters and the bath room and I use Method free and clear laundry soap. We also use Method hand soap. We would love to get to the point where all of our products are earth friendly, and I think the only thing holding us back is, well, me. See I L.O.V.E. some of my big girly products.
Several years ago I discovered the difference in my hair when i use GREAT products. I am not willing to part ways with my Enjoy Luxury shampoo and conditioner! I also just recently discovered a face wash and moisturizer that is FANTASTIC! I am in love with the way my skin looks and feels when I use Epicuren products! I can’t let them go. So for now I have to deal with the guilt of single handedly contributing to the destruction of our world.
The only reason that this really comes up is because if we were our in the middle of nowhere, rumor has it that you can eliminate your grey water onto the ground if you use all bio products. I don’t know how I feel about that anyways, but it doesn’t much matter because again, I am not willing to part with my wonderful products.
xoxo
